Calvin’s engrossing (and well-produced) audio saga involves a public radio reporter joining Banjo as the four-legged scamp searches for his wife in the aftermath of a cataclysmic natural disaster.
Today I read about a new audioplay called Banjo, the Man-Faced Dog, which focuses on the continuing adventures of the titular human-canine hybrid, one of the most terrifying moments of 1978's Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I was tipped off to this five-part series by Sean Tejarachi, the talent behind the exceedingly brilliant LiarTownUSA (and who, like myself, was inspired by Invasion of the Body Snatchers). From LiarTownUSA:
I just realized with a start that my new neighbors' dog is named Banjo. I'd better take a closer look at his face. Assuming he doesn't lure me into my own pod, I'll be back later this month with a new movie!
